Brandcast 2019 - Radio City Music Hall
YouTube - How To
How To is from our 2019 Brandcast show, a Google event designed to sell ad space on the YouTube platform. For this project, I led a graphics team of three, including myself, to create a piece that highlights the endless possibilities of YouTube and all the things you can learn through it. Mixing in moments of live performances, we aimed to set the stage and show the best Youtube has to offer. From balloon animals to cotton candy, parachuting cookies, and countless dance lessons, this piece explored the wide range of skills and fun on YouTube ending with building a vortex ring by Sauce and Adam Savage.
Google's EMEA - Dublin 2019
Emi's Poem
For Google’s EMEA conference, I was tasked with designing and animating a piece to accompany a powerful poem by Emtithal "Emi" Mahmoud, a Sudanese-American slam poet and activist. Her poem reflected on the Darfur Genocide, intertwining deeply personal stories of her family and cherished memories with her cousins to bring humanity to a dark chapter in history. She also highlighted how technology empowered the people of Darfur during such a challenging time.
With a selection of her personal photos and just one week to complete the project, it was an incredibly moving and meaningful experience to help bring her story to life. I am truly grateful for the experience of working on this piece.

Rudy Mancuso and the Youtube RabbitHole
Rabbit Hole is from our 2018 Brandcast show, a Google event designed to sell ad space on the YouTube platform. For this project, I led a team of four, including myself, with a tight turnaround of just 10 days to deliver the final piece. The edit was in constant flux, which, while challenging, added a sense of excitement to the process.
This was our first show at Radio City Music Hall (our previous NYC shows were at the Javits Center) and our first time working on RCMH’s incredible eight moving screens.
The premise centers on our main character, Rudy Mancuso, who starts in his room creating and mixing music. He opens YouTube for more inspiration and falls down the proverbial YouTube rabbit hole of curated videos. The full piece blends live performances and graphics to create a "live" YouTube experience. Many of the graphics are drawn from a mix of artist videos and fan-created content, adding to the authenticity and depth of the visual narrative.
(One unfortunate error in the live performance - at the very end, the lift for the fire drummer came up late so excuse the slightly awkward moment!)
